“The Domino Effect of LIFE…”

The Domino Effect of LIFE...The domino effect describes a chain reaction that occurs when a small event triggers a reaction nearby, setting off another reaction, then another, until it produces an ultimate result. Getting your health back with Chiropractic care happens in a similar way.

Chiropractors start the process with a small event called an Adjustment. Spinal adjustments restore Ease in your nerve system which promotes Healing. Over Time your body literally Recreates itself… replacing sick, damaged cells and tissues with stronger, healthier ones. You experience improvements in the way your body Performs like stronger immunity, deeper sleep, greater physical energy and a confident sense of well being. The end result is more expression of LIFE.

The ultimate goal of Chiropractic is to help you experience the abundance of LIFE inside you – so you can fulfill your purpose and bring more joy to those around you. Staying ‘lined up’ with regular Chiropractic care is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and those you love the most. drpfeiffer.com “Paint’s Not Dry Yet…”

drpfeiffer.com Paints Not Dry Yet...You’re a few weeks into your Chiropractic care and you’re starting to feel better. You want to get back to your routine as soon as possible. There’s a ton to do around the house, you’ve got a family to take care of and you can’t wait to get back to the gym. You have an urgency to start ‘living’ again. Problem is… the paint’s not quite dry yet.

It’s not uncommon to feel ‘done’ after a few adjustments. When the innate recuperative abilities of your body kick in, you might look and feel remarkably new – like a fresh coat of paint. But like a fresh coat of paint, looks can be deceiving. What seems completely dry (healed) on the surface may still have a few tacky areas underneath. If you jump the gun and try to re-hang the fixtures, you might ruin the finish and need to start all over again.

Complete and thorough healing requires time. Even though you may feel like your old self after a few Chiropractic sessions, it’s no green light to go back to your old activities. The stabilizing phase of care (where you feel so good you wonder why you’re still coming in) is where all the ‘paint curing’ happens. Give your body the time it needs to completely dry and you’ll be happier with the end results. Repost Weekly Sticky via Dr. Pfeiffer and Unlimited Chiropractic Club of West St. Paul.

St. Paul Chiropractor : “It’s All About Time”

St. Paul Chiropractor : Its All About TimeThe Sixth Principle in Chiropractic states there is no process which does not require time, including the healing process. BJ Palmer (the developer of Chiropractic) believed that with time and clarity in the nerve system, the body could heal itself in just about any situation.

A sick cell is replaced by a healthy one – healthy cells become healthy tissues – healthy tissues become healthy organs – healthy organs make a healthy human being. The conversion from sickness to wellness is an innate process that can only be performed by the doctor within you, via a well toned nerve system.

Healing is therefore a process of RE-creating yourself, one cell at a time, over a period of time. The power that made your body is more than capable of converting you from sickness to wellness. All it needs is a clear pathway and enough sand in the hour glass to accomplish it. Repost Weekly Sticky via West St. Pauls Unlimited Chiropractic Club and Dr. Pfeiffer.

“Smell Something Burning?”

Smell Something Burning?A family physician tells his patient “there are 3 stages of pain. The first stage, the pain is bad enough to catch your attention. The second stage it takes hold of you, and at the third stage it finally compels you to do something about it.” The patient asks his doctor, “when it gets to stage three what should I do?” Without a blink, the doctor turns to him and says “take some Motrin…” (True and sad story)

The worst part is the patient actually thought it was good advice. When he relays the story to his Chiropractor, the Chiropractor responds “if your smoke detector went off in your home, the 1st time it would probably catch your attention… the 2nd time it would most likely take hold of you. But if it went off a 3rd time and you were finally compelled to do something, would you take the batteries out so you wouldn’t have to hear it anymore? “Of course not,” the patient replied “that would be stupid…” The patient got the point.

The moral of the story… Symptoms are your body’s attempt to save itself. Masking your symptoms (whether it be pain, nausea, diarrhea or fever) with drugs doesn’t fix the problem, it can actually make the situation worse. It’s smarter to get to the CAUSE of the problem and deal with it the RIGHT way. That’s why they call Chiropractors DC’s because they are Doctors of finding the Cause! West St. Paul Chiropractors “Control + ALT+…..”

West St. Paul Chiropractors Control + ALT+.....Have you ever had to restart your PC after the hard drive froze? You hit ‘Control+Alt+Delete’ to reboot the operating system and get everything running smoothly again. Your human computer (Nerve System) needs a periodic rebooting too.

Your Nerve System gets overwhelmed from daily stress. An urgent work deadline, unexpected family crisis or any inconvenient change in your routine are unsolicited stresses (spyware or a virus) that bog down your nerves. The result – your body slows down, runs sluggish and eventually “freezes up” with an illness. Getting a Chiropractic adjustment is like hitting the Control+Alt+Delete buttons. It clears your Nerve System of unwanted stress and gets you running fast again.

The stress our grandparents experienced in a week, today we get in just 24 hours! If you’re not purging the tension from your Nerve System on a regular basis, your hard drive could crash. Get ‘rebooted’ routinely with Chiropractic care and stay ahead of the failure.

West St. Paul Chiropractor drops insurance payments.

West St. Paul Chiropractor drops insurance payments. Why would this West St. Paul Chiropractor drop insurance payments?  Its simple, its too expensive to use your insurance.  With deductables, co-pays and limits, insurance practice is too expensive.  Chiropractic care works best with regular treatments, every research paper shows that, every chiropractor knows that.  But the third party payers are business’s and profits are important.  With rising healthcare costs, insurance companies started monitoring things, cutting services, limiting visits, etc..  In 2010 when my biggest insurance contract was due for renewal, they called and basically said, we are going to pay you less and you get to treat less too.  Well thats not easy for me to understand and accept.

So this West St. Paul Chiropractor dropped them.

So how do you survive if you aren’t billing insurance?  Well this West St. Paul chiropractor spent 4 months drawing up his idea, talking with lawyers, finding other doctors that were trying to make it work.  Result = Unlimited Chiropractic Club….  Unlimited Chiropractic Care for under $50 a month.  Dr. Pfeiffer created this model so that chiropractic was available for eveyone, affordable and convenient.  No appointments, no long-term contracts, no waiting, just show up, get treated and get on with your life.  With insurance patients, it was a hard sell every visit, calling them to remind them to come in for one of their 12 or so visits, that wasn’t my thing.   So I created the Unlimited Chiropractic Club.

West St. Paul Unlimited Chiro Club.

The club is based on volume obviously, at $50 a month per patient, we need to replace what insurance would have paid per visit, so more people = more money with this model of practice.  The clinic is set up to cater to patients when they show up, visits are typically 5 minutes from door to door.  Wait times are almost nothing.  With no appointments, if you are driving by, just stop in and get treated and get on with your life.  There is no reason to not choose West St. Pauls Unlimited Chiro Club, they have a $10 try before you buy special all the time too.  $10 to see how well our clinic model works and see for yourself why we are the premier choice for chiropractic care in West St. Paul.

This St. Paul Chiropractors Stress relief formula.

This St. Paul Chiropractors Stress relief formula.Being a chiropractor in St. Paul, specifically a principled one, talking about stress is an everyday task.  If you read my posts, you will already know there are 3 major types of stress.  I talk about them often, physical, emotional (mental) and chemical.  Reducing these stressors will in turn improve your health.  The body has whats called the stress response, it doesn’t differentiate the different kinds of stress, it just reacts to it.  So when you are stress, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar are all effected as well as immunity, concentration and many other body functions.  Reducing or removing stress stops the bodies stress response.

Our St. Paul Chiropractic office helps…

West St. Paul’s Unlimited Chiropractic Club offers unlimited visits for $49 a month, no contracts, no commitments.  Regular chiropractic care removes the physical stress to the nervous system, thus improving your bodies response to stress.  Dr. Pfeiffer also makes you smile, helps you wade through which stresses you can reduce on your own, mental stress.  The chemical stressors that exist, some can be dealt with in our office, others require the help of your medical doctor and you.

West St. Paul’s Unlimited Chiro Club is a no stress ZONE!

Dr. Pfeiffer tried to eliminate as many stresses as possible when he created the club, no appointments to miss or schedule, no waiting long times, get in get adjusted and get on with your life.  And money, well you pay $49 a month for unlimited visits, once patients are stable, 1-2 months into care, they just pop in 2-3 times a month for regular checks and adjustments.  Thats it…  Give us a month and you will see a difference, give us a year and your life will be totally changed.  If you don’t invest in your own body, it won’t produce many returns for you in the future.  Stop by West St. Paul’s Unlimited Chiropractic Club soon and see for yourself.

West St. Paul Chiropractor jumped ship…

West St. Paul Chiropractor jumped ship...This West St. Paul chiropractor jumped ship, well jumped into a frozen lake at least.  The Polar Plunge 2012!!!!  It was cold, really cold and then it got colder….  In my head I had pictured a 10 foot long square cut into the frozen ice.  Reality, what I found was a 30 foot long 30 foot wide square cut out of the ice with a launching pad (jump station) at the deep end.  LOL  It was fun and I will definitely do it again, heck the money goes to the Special Olympics so its a win/win I guess.  Being a chiropractor is pretty rewarding in itself, but a few years ago I wanted to find a way to help others when I could.  I found the Kiwanis Int Organization and more specifically the West St. Paul Kiwanis Club.

West St. Paul Kiwanis Club?

This small group of guys does a massive amount of help in the community service.  The club itself isn’t very big, but we sponsor 4 high school Key Clubs which is close to 400 students who are dedicated to helping others in the community.  The Henry Sibley High School Key Club wanted to do the Polar Plunge, so I was asked to participate.  Being a West St. Paul Chiropractor, helping my local community is a great way to show my appreciation, plus it gives me a bigger sense of purpose.  There were several students and one other great adult who jumped today, Iwanted to personally thank them for their fundraising efforts and for being “brave” (some would use a different word here) enough to jump into a frozen lake in February in Mn..

Chiropractic and frozen water?

Well it was an experience thats for sure, but well worth it, my kids were there and my 8 yo said he would jump with me next year if I catch him.  Not sure parental instincts would have me stop and turn around to help him, but I am sure they would.  lol  Well I had a refreshing afternoon on this 25th Day of February, and monday I will go back to being the West St. Paul Chiropractor which is much warmer and easier to handle.

West St. Paul Chiropractor falls off the couch laughing.

West St. Paul Chiropractor falls off the couch laughing. So I was sitting home last night, quiet house, kids asleep, wife out with a girlfriend.  Flipping through the channels I caught an ad for a major pain reliever.  I love drug commercials, but I must be the only one who actually waits to hear the side effects.  Some are just hilarious, hair loss, dry mouth, constipation, stomach cramps, headaches etc..  It seems if its a “happy” pill, that most of the side effects would negate any benefit, but it must work people are buying drugs all the time.

So back to my commercial, this particular pill, its must have a microchip in it which is wired to your body somehow.  It said it goes to where you pain is and relieves it.  Now I am not doubting it can reduce pain, what I am concerned about is the fact that they now must have a “Smart” Pill.  One that can sense where you are hurt and go there and “FIX” you up.  Well great!!!! About time huh?  When I was a kid, we were supposed to have all kinds of cool stuff by now, flying cars, resorts on the moon, X-ray vision, etc.. But, we don’t have those things yet…

So how “smart” is this pill really?  Not at all smart.  Most medications are designed to work on your brain, not your pain.  Many pills “numb” parts of your brain so you don’t feel the pain you took the pill for.  Problem I see here is if you brain is numb to the fact you are injured, its also numb to the fact that it needs to heal you up…  I am not against pills, sometimes I think they are needed and necessary, but to advertise a pill that KNOWS where you pain is just pisses me off.  I could dedicate a whole year long series on this just by watching more TV ads, but I won’t.  The purpose for me writing this is to get you to think about what you are putting in your body.  I am a chiropractor, drugs aren’t in my scope of practice and I don’t talk about them with my patients, thats an MD’s job or a pharmacist.  But if you watched this commercial and actually think this pill can “FIND” your pain, you are wrong.

Well enough of my venting, its sunday and my kids are hooked on Beyblades, so its TIME TO BATTLE…

Later,
